Dear friend of Pier 34,

We are off and running in anticipation of a great 2020. As a recap, in 2019 Pier 34 raised over $25,000 because of great partners like yourself. We added two additional board members and completed our website and budget.

We expect great things from 2020. Already we have added an additional board member in Col. Mike Urrutia and awarded our first recipient with six sessions of quality counseling from our constantly growing directory. For more information on Col. Urrutia and our network please go to our website at www.pier34.org.

It is our goal to raise $30,000 in 2020 and award 30 recipients with counseling within our provider network. We look forward to your assistance in raising awareness about our beneficiaries and the opportunity to tell the stories of people that have been impacted by Pier 34.

We continue to look for new financial partners as well as additions to our board and welcome your suggestions or introductions.

Please send all inquiries to donnievancuren@pier34.org.

Thank you again for all you do.

Sincerely,

Donnie Van Curen

Board President, Pier 34

Dear friend of Pier 34,

We want to take this opportunity to say thank you for joining us on this journey to help others. We could not be more excited about how people are responding to our cause and to the momentum that we continue to experience since our initial campaign introduction this past Spring.

At the time of this letter we have raised over $11,000 and continue to move towards our phase 1 goal of $20,000. As a reminder, once this initial goal has been realized, the process of accepting applications for provider funding will start. We have also started the process of setting our provider network and welcome your suggestions.

In addition, we have recently added Mike Roark, COO and Vice President at Greater Oklahoma City YMCA to our board. Mike has been a constant advocate for mental health and a tireless volunteer in the community. We are fortunate to have him and look forward to taking advantage of his knowledge and talents.

Our next event has been set for September 13th and details can be found on our website at www.pier34.org. We continue to look for new financial partners as well as additions to our board, and welcome your suggestions or introductions.  Please send all inquiries to donnievancuren@pier34.org.

Thank you again for all you do,

Sincerely,

Donnie Van Curen,

Board President, Pier 34
